Founder & Director

Sameera Vallurupalli has an engineering degree from Vellore Institute of Technology, and a degree in Law from SMU Dallas, USA.

Sameera believes that Avinya International School is a representation of her educational philosophy which is deeply rooted in the commitment to encourage as well as celebrate innovation. Innovation is not just a subject to be taught but a culture to be cultivated. It begins with encouraging students to share perspectives, be curious, exhibit creativity, and enjoy the experience of discovering. She envisions students being motivated to tackle real world problems allowing them to draw connections between different fields, sparking new ideas, ideate and be resilient in the face of adversities.

Sameera is convinced that as we move further into the 21st century, advancements in artificial intelligence and biotechnology signal a shift toward a technology driven world where creativity and adaptability are essential. Thus, Avinya International School is committed to equipping students to thrive in this ever changing landscape by nurturing their innate curiosity and fostering a mindset that embraces exploration and discovery. Head of Sports

Shiv Kumar Sen holds a rich experience of more than twenty-five years in the field of education as a Teacher, Coach, Mentor, Advisor for sports infrastructure and as an administrator. He has worked in premier IB & CIE Schools in India and abroad.An alumni of the prestigious Mayo College, Ajmer (Rajasthan), Shiv completed his graduation from Hindu College, Delhi University, B PEd and level one Squash coaching course under the guidance of Ex- National Squash Coach England, Mr. Paul Wright in New Zealand.

Shiv is a Gold medalist in the Duke of Edinburgh’s award scheme, has won the Principal’s Medal for Excellence in Squash, a Bronze Medalist in Limca National Squash Championship and played All India University Squash Championships. He played Basketball, Hockey and Football at the State level.

Shiv was appointed as the Head of Delegation to the International Children’s Games held at San Francisco (USA), Athens (Greece), Daegu (South Korea) and as an official at Cleveland (USA). He was also the Manager cum Coach of Haryana State for the All-India Squash Nationals 2004.

He has organized various national and international sports events like International Tennis Federation (ITF) $ 10,000 Women’s Championships, All India Tennis Association (AITA) under -12, 14 and 16 Championships, Football camp in collaboration with FC Barcelona, and an Athletics camp in collaboration with Race Pace Runners, Brisbane, Australia.

Shiv is currently the Senior Advisor to International Schools Sports Organization (ISSO).

Founder & Director

Dr Sreeja Musunuru earned her MBBS degree from Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad followed by a master’s degree in Health Care Management from Coventry University, UK. Contributing to education has always been Dr Sreeja’s dream. She believes that empowering others through education is one of the most impactful ways to make a difference in the world. It empowers people to make informed decisions, advocate for their rights and in turn contribute to their social and economic communities and nation as a whole.

Dr Sreeja is certain that Avinya International School will provide students opportunities and support to explore their interests, values and strengths which in turn will help them discover their passion and inspire a sense of purpose to guide them throughout their lives.

Dr Sreeja feels that education at Avinya International School will emphasise a curriculum that integrates academics with emotional, social and physical well-being. The focus on hands on experiential learning, where students engage in real world projects, will foster critical thinking, collaboration and problem solving skills. The need to integrate learning with latest technology will prepare students for an AI driven future.

Founder & Managing Director

Sindhura Musunuru is a Master’s in Business Administration from Amity University, Noida and an Engineer from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.Sindhura was always inspired by her family’s deep-rooted commitment to providing education to the community for over thirty years. Her own experiences as a mother motivated her to lay the foundation of Avinya International School, with the prime objective of nurturing children’s innate curiosity to innovate rather than be passive recipients of information. Hence the choice of the Sanskrit word ‘Avinya’, which means innovation.

Sindhura’s personal experiences reinforced her commitment to excellence, aiming to support the boundless potential within every child. Avinya International School Is not just about teaching children ways to use technology but also about learning to use it for the betterment of the community. This approach enhances core competencies like creativity, communication, decision making and problem-solving to name a few.

Sindhura firmly believes that “True education is a combination of intelligence and character”. She is committed to providing opportunities for fostering and transferring life skills such as adaptability, goal settings and leadership, to bridge the gap between education and the demands of an unpredictable future. Head of School

Anjalika Sharma comes with a rich experience of twenty-eight years in the field of education. She has worked as a PYP Teacher, Coordinator and Principal / Head of School in India’s premier IB schools like Pathways School, Aravalli, Gurugram, Scottish High School, Gurugram, Navrachana International School, Vadodara, Sreenidhi International School, Hyderabad, Indus International School, Hyderabad, and The Gaudium School, Hyderabad.

She completed her post-graduation (MA) in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, graduation (BA) from Presidency College, Kolkata and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from AJC Bose College, Kolkata.

Anjalika has attended a range of IB professional development sessions, some of which include: Inquiry, Assessments in the PYP, Role of the PYP Coordinator, Concept Based Learning, Pedagogical leadership in PYP, Sustainability in IB, Building for the future, Leading the learning in MYP and Leading the learning in DP.

Anjalika is an IB Evaluation leaders, IB workshop leader, IB online workshop leader and IB programme field representative, as well as a consultant for new IB schools. She is an Executive Committee Member of SAIBSA and a member National Council of Association of Indian Principals.
